Cheryl Cole has confessed that she’s a huge fan of trashy TV.

The US X Factor judg, who’s expected to turn up at the Cannes Film Festival after temporarily leaving LA, says she’ll be pining for a lot of home comforts as she settles in Stateside.

‘I’ll miss my friends, my family, my tea, my soaps,’ Cheryl, 27, admitted this week. ‘I’m a real soap girl. I love the English soaps. That’s my guilty pleasure.

‘And my biscuits, I’ve brought them all with me, so I’ve got a taste of home.

‘And I’ve got a box I can actually hook up [to the TV] to watch the English soaps.’

Even so, the Girls Aloud star, who wore big hair and bright clothes for the opening round of auditions, seems pleased she’s left the British version of the TV talent show.

‘I miss the UK already – I’m such a homebody,’ she told US journalists. ‘But it’s really good for me to step out of my comfort zone and push myself.’
