Janet Jackson Engaged: Rumors Singer Is Engaged To Billionaire Boyfriend, Wissam Al Mana, Surface Again

Janet-Jackson-9542443-2-402imagesJanet Jackson is reportedly secretly engaged to Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana.

Us Weekly reports that the 37-year-old mogul, who made his money in luxury brands and is the managing director of Al Mana Retail, popped the question to Jackson earlier this year, and gave her a “huge” and “expensive” ring that she keeps locked up because she’s too afraid it will get lost.

Another source also claims that the couple, who began dating in 2010, are set to marry this spring in Qatar, in a wedding that will cost millions, with a ceremony that will undoubtedly be “a circus.”

All this sounds quite impressive, but it also sounds very familiar. It turns out thatrumors that the 46-year-old singer was engaged to Al Mana first surfaced in October, with the National Enquirer claiming that the couple were planning to spend $3 million to fly their 500 wedding guests in from all over the world, and Al Mana wants to give each guest a $10,000 Rolex watch as a thank you for attending.

Actor Jim Parsons has revealed he is gay and in a committed relationship in a new interview.

New York Times scribe Patrick Healy confirms “The Big Bang Theory” star’s sexuality as part of a profile of the 39-year-old actor, who is currently starring on Broadway in a revival of “Harvey.” The revelation comes late in the article, when Healy describes Parsons’ role in the 2011 revival of Larry Kramer’s HIV/AIDS crisis drama, “The Normal Heart.” Read the rest of this entry »

Whitney Houston Dead: Cause of Singer’s Death Unknown

Whitney Houston, who reigned as pop music’s queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, has died. She was 48.

The superstar singer and actress’s publicist, Kristin Foster, broke the news of Houston’s passing to the AP, but thus far, no cause of death has been revealed.

She was found at the Beverly Hills Hilton. The showbiz website TMZ reports that the singer was found in the bath, and that while no illegal drugs had been seized by police, prescription drugs have been found in Houston’s room.

Hotel sources have told the website that she was found by her bodyguard, and that despite attempts to resuscitate her, she was pronounced dead at 3:55pm local time on Saturday afternoon. She was due to perform at a pre-Grammy award party in Los Angeles last night. Read the rest of this entry »
