Google to Change Gmail, and “Normal Email” Option Instead of Just “Conversation”
It took Sherlock Holmes to deduce the significance of the dog that didn’t bark.* So maybe it’s understandable that neuroscientists have traditionally ignored the brain activity that just hums away quietly in the background when the brain isn’t doing much of anything. Assuming this “default” or “resting” activity was meaningless random noise, they went so far as to subtract it out—and thus ignore it—on brain images such as PET scans and fMRIs. For more click here

Each government on our planet today is desperate to get/grab anything that belongs to the “unexplained”, to UFOs, or to any technological or historical secrets. Fact is, “desperate” is not the right word; they are capable of ANYTHING to get those artifacts, secrets, whatever. The idea is, each country/nation strives to achieve “technological supremacy” and “absolute power”. From social-psychology point of view, that behavior is understandable. The troublesome aspect is the official propaganda: there are no unexplained things, there are no UFOs, and technological/historical secrets do not exist; everything is just ordinary and normal.Well, that “natural” social mentality is due to a very low “real average social intelligence” existing today in our societies, everywhere. It is possible in about 100 years from this time one country on our planet will achieve that “total technological supremacy”, therefore it will enslave all other nations. If that moment will become reality, people are going to discover that technological power is not sufficient; better said, technological power is far from anything. If you have little patience, you may discover what is way, way more powerful and important than technology is in these Amazing Articles in in our SF books. For more click here
The Imperfect Universe: Goodbye, Theory of Everything
FIFTEEN years ago, I was a physicist hard at work hunting for a theory of nature that would unify the very big and the very small. There was good reason to hope. The great and the good were committed. Even Einstein, who recognised that our understanding of reality is necessarily incomplete, had spent the last 20 years of his life searching for a unified field theory that would describe the two main forces we see acting around us – gravity and electromagnetism – as manifestations of a single force. For him, such a mathematical theory represented the purest and most elegant expression of nature and the highest achievement of the human intellect. For more click here
Atom Smasher Set for Record Collision
GENEVA — The world’s largest atom smasher is ready to start a new era of science, colliding beams of protons to learn more about the make up of the universe and its smallest particles.
Dubbed the world’s largest scientific experiment, the $10 billion Large Hadron Collider holds the promise of revealing details about theoretical particles and microforces, scientists say. For more click here

E=mc2 – What’s the Speed of Light Got to Do With It?
By far, Einstein’s best-known equation is “E=mc2 – energy equals mass times the velocity of light squared.” According to this equation, any given amount of mass is equivalent to a certain amount of energy, and vice versa.
We all have some idea of what mass and energy are, and can appreciate that either can be converted into the other. Einstein’s equation even tells us how much of one potentially converts into how much of the other. But what exactly does the speed of light have to do with either matter or energy? How does the speed of light, of all things, come into the picture at all? For more click here
Skyscraper Rotating Buildings
The world’s first moving building, an 80-storey tower with revolving floors giving a shifting shape, is under construction in Dubai. “It’s the first building that rotates, moves, and changes shape,” said Italian architect David Fisher. The Dynamic Tower design is made up of 80 pre-fabricated apartments which will spin independently of one another. “This building never looks the same, not once in a lifetime,” he added.
The 420-metre (1,378-foot) building’s apartments would spin a full 360 degrees, at voice command, around a central column by means of 79 giant power-generating wind turbines located between each floor. The slender building would be energy self-sufficient as the turbines would produce enough electricity to power the entire building and even feed extra power back into the grid, said the Italian architect. The apartments, which will take between one and three hours to make a complete rotation, will cost from $3.7m to $36m. For more click here
